Wild Sun Camp is located in Cabuya, Costa Rica. Our 5 acre campus borders the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula.  

Cabuya is a small, quiet fishing village, with 2 supermarkets and 5 restaurants surrounded by lush jungle. There are rivers, waterfalls and endless beaches within walking distance. We are also within 30 minutes drive of both tourist towns, Montezuma and Santa Teresa, meaning there’s lots of nature and adventurous activities to form the backdrop of the summer of your life!

We have 8 camper cabins, each accommodating 5-7 campers and a counselor. These rooms are in their own compound, apart from common areas of the rescue center. They are equipped with A/C and private bath with hot showers.

Outside of each room is a patio that overlooks the Jungle Resort infinity pool with ocean view.   

Our rescue center currently consists of 25 enclosures, a vet clinic and a dedicated kitchen. As our intention is to return all of our animals to the wild, we have a lot of turnover. The animals who are most consistently in our care are howler monkeys, scarlet macaws, capuchin monkeys, deer, opossums and squirrels however anything that lives in our region may end up a patient of ours. In the past 5 years we’ve taken care of many types of birds, kinkajous, porcupines, agouti, paca, raccoons, spotted skunks, anteaters and more. You never know what can come in tomorrow!

Site of labs and lectures for our “weird” science track. Our 6 x 9 meter yoga deck fits 20 comfortably for yoga class or up to 40 for meetings and stationary activities. Known to host fire dancing and salsa classes. It’s also a great chill out spot for rest period video calls to mom, dad or friends back home.

Food is prepared by Chef Keyren who is professionally trained and serves cuisine from around the world. Meat consumption is limited to chicken and seafood.

We are happy to accommodate most dietary special needs including vegetarian, vegan, dairy, or others.
