Conservation Internship Position

Positions are reserved at all times for qualified individuals willing to commit to a 12 week internship.  For interns, accommodation is provided.  A bed is reserved in one of our shared simple rooms.  Interns have use of a shared kitchen to prepare their own food.

Although anyone over 18 may apply for the position, those with previous experience handling animals or studies in veterinary medicine, biology or related fields are given priority.

Internship tasks are similar to those of long-term volunteers with additional responsibility.  You would be required to work with animals up to 8 hours a day and 6 days a week, depending on the current needs at any given time.  You will have additional responsibilities that involve educating the public.  This includes giving tours for guests and posting on social media about the animals in our care.  You will also be expected to organize school groups either on or off campus for educational purposes.

Please email us if you are interested in this position.  We require a $500 deposit to reserve your space in this position, $400 of which will be returned in full at the end of a completed 12 week internship.
